What is Build a Drill
Build a Drill is a method for you to quote and or order, in real time, your special solid carbide step drills or step tools to your specific cutting tool requirements. The information entered into the quote are for quoting purposes only. Other specific dimensions required are not necessary for quoting.
Build a Drill give the customer the ability to quote on line, the price and delivery of any style (2 or 3 flute), any size (1/16 to 1”), to different tolerances, with helix angles of choice, to any LOC within displayed specs, in any quantity, with any coating, step drills or step mills, in solid carbide. .
Build a Drill is a very competitive method of quoting your special step drill or step tool requirements. This is especially true where larger cutters with quantities of greater that 3 pcs are required. Build a Drill issues quotes for either step drills or step mills. All tools quoted on Build a Drill will be manufactured with the proper helix angles (based on the largest diameter of the tool) rake angles, and core diameters for the given tool size. Build a Drill DOES NOT ALTER a standard drill or milling cutter. Each tool is individually manufactured to the exact specifications you desire on the latest state of the art, 5 axis CNC grinders.
Your quote gives price and delivery of a step drill or step mill. All orders will be followed up with an approved print depending on the application (drilling or milling). Specific geometries not described on the quote will be detailed on the print.
Helpful hints when quoting tools:
Quantity changes can make drastic differences in prices in the low quantity ranges.
All dimensional entries must be entered as decimals
Shanks longer than required can be used for long reach applications
